Delete Account and App Data
This page explains how users can delete their HamroSwasthya Nepal account and associated app data.
Delete from inside the app
- Open the HamroSwasthya Nepal app.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete My App Data.
- Follow the confirmation step shown in the app.
This deletes the app data associated with your signed-in account, including profile data, medical record metadata, encrypted record files, QR share sessions, and app settings where technically available.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the email address linked to your HamroSwasthya Nepal account:
Use the subject line: Delete my HamroSwasthya account.
We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting data.
Data deleted
- Account profile information, such as name, date of birth, gender, country, and preferred language.
- Health profile information, such as known conditions, allergies, allergy severity, blood group, and emergency contact details.
- User-added medical record metadata, such as title, category, document date, notes, page count, and profile association.
- Encrypted medical record files and preview files stored for the account, where technically available.
- QR sharing sessions and share lookup records controlled by the account, where technically available.
- App settings, consent records, and sync status data associated with the account, where technically available.
Data that may be retained temporarily
Some limited technical, security, backup, or audit records may remain for a short period where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup integrity, or abuse investigation. We do not use retained deletion-related records for advertising.
Backup copies, if any, are removed according to backup rotation schedules.
Data controlled by other services
If you used Google sign-in, Google may retain information in your Google account according to Google's policies. You can also manage third-party access from your Google account settings.
